fanmi,
Yesterday,
we had a devotional. We have one every tuesday at the Marriot Center at
BYU. It was so cool to walk over with thousands of missionaries. It was
the first devotional to ever be broadcast to the other MTC's world wide. I was
in the choir for it, we sang "Jesus once of humble birth", and we
practiced an hour before the devotional. Â They don't tell us who is
speaking until a few minutes before the devotional. Â Elder Richard G.
Scott's name appeared on the board. Â Everyone was so excited. We all stood
when he entered the room.I was also beyond excited to sing for him. I was one
in 1000+ voices, but I got to sing for an apostle and it was such a blessing.
He spoke on prayer, and it was so powerful. He blessed us with his
authority over and over, especially the elders & sisters speaking foriegn
languages dependant on our faith/diligence.
At one
point, he got very emotional and told us why. He said that he had been praying
that his wife who passed away in the 1990's would be with us in the devotional,
and he was emotional because he was grateful she was there.
