Kyle made it to California and back in one piece. He had a blast. They traveled for 36 hours and spent 24 hours in California. Anyway, the orchestra did really well at the festival. The ended up getting a gold rating, and a really nice plaque. Then they spent the rest of Friday afternoon at Knottsberry Farm. As you can see in the pictures Kyle was either scared to death or loving the rides, you decide. They also went to a pirate theme dinner. He said it was neat, and the chicken was good but the roast beef wasn't. He didn't get much sleep those 3 days, and he said he couldn't sleep on the bus. They charted a bus so they were able to watch movies on the way. On the return trip they suprised the kids by stopping at the beach. Some of them had never seen the ocean and they ended up playing in the water for about 3 hours. So they didn't get home until about 3 AM on Sunday morning. Kyle was very tired for church, but he went and then slept the rest of the day. He was pretty much a zombie until Monday. It was worth all the hard work and he had a good experience.
